And guess what? There are still millions of people who are registered in the Green Party, Working Families Party, or as independents. They will not be able to vote in the New York State primary elections this year.
This is the thing: its does not matter how much you support Bernie, how many things you share on social media, how many rallies you attend, etc. Those things are all incredibly important.
But you know what else? Those things do not get Bernie Sanders elected. You can buy all the merchandise you want, flyer every single day, hold a million meetings, and whatever else. And, in the end, it’s not what going to put Bernie Sanders in the White House.
Right now, there’s a ridiculous number of people in New York who are not eligible to vote because they are in the wrong party to vote for Bernie Sander. To be honest, though, I don’t even care that much if people in New York decide to vote for against Bernie Sanders. At least they will have voted.
Are you okay with that? You shouldn’t be. As citizens of the USA we have a right and an obligation to vote. There is no compromise here. It is your (yes! you! the person who is reading is this post right now! you right there in front of the computer screen! take your finger and point it at yourself! that person!) responsibility to help people follow through on this obligation.

So I was just talking with my mom, trying to figure out the best way to not only get Bernie Sanders as our president, but to also allow him to actually be able to pass these bills he purposes. Basically first of all, we need to have everyone that is of age to register to vote(choose vote by mail, you get it a month in advance so you can research and you don’t have to go in and vote on the day of, during their shitty voting times[which is done on purpose to try and get us not to vote]) Second, we need to vote in the Primaries, not only the generals. The Primaries are held in June on the 7th, I never knew about them, they don’t teach this stuff in school. But if you vote in the primaries, then we won’t have the shitty candidates in the generals. Third, we need to vote the right senators and representatives into the house and senate. They do this thing called gerrymandering, where they can basically make each state lopsided on their republican to democrat votes, like in utah for example and what they did with Obama about a year and a half after he was elected, they made Salt Lake City the only Democratic voting area, while the rest of the entire state was set to Republican, which makes it impossible for Democrats to have any say. But Colorado just sent in a bill to have an independent party change the boundaries so they are equal, and the senate approved, so there is a victory and we can get rid of gerrymandering, it just takes the power of the people. We really can change this country. It isn’t hopeless, I promise, we just have to actually do something. I will be reminding you of this frequently, send me asks or anything you have to say about this, I would love to talk about this. This means a lot to all of us, because we will be living in this country for another 60 years, so we should have some say in how it’s run. Much love everyone.
